• Arrived to our zoo October 29, 2020

• Winston is an albino wallaby

• He spends most of his day sleeping or grazing on his food

• Winston’s diet consists of hay, wallaby kibble, greens, and sometimes small pieces of sweet potato, carrot, or apple as a treat. His favorite is the greens and he always hops right over to eat them up first

• Bennett’s wallabies tend to weigh up to 40 pounds

• They are usually solitary, but will sometimes be seen in groups to feed together

• Bennett’s wallabies are also known as red-necked wallabies, because the non-albino wallaby has a reddish tint to their fur

• They graze on grasses, vegetables, and herbs

• Bennett’s wallabies tend to be more active at night

• They can be found in Australia, primarily in eucalyptus forests, shrublands, and grasslands
